Twilight Moon
I love seeing the moon when it’s still light
Before darkness
turns the day to night,
Bright and
bold, but sometimes shy
It glows so
brightly in the sky,
The moon is
elusive, like a fox in a den
It only
shows up now and then,
Changing its
shape, moving place to place
I’m grateful
when it shows its face!
Wow!After such a long time! Welcome back! ☺π
ReplyDeleteThanks! I did do a piece on July 1st so it's not as much of a dry spell as when I went three months not blogging. I am sporadic, that's for sure!
DeleteLovely lines! In the evenings, when there is still some daylight and the moon appears, I feel a thrill and take it as some kind of sign for good times to come.
ReplyDeleteI like how you take it as a sign of good times to come. So positive. I will adopt that idea, too. Thanks, Aditi!
DeleteI love it too when there's still some daylight left and the moon is there, as if early to the party π
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of the moon being early to the party. That's so fun!
DeleteAhh the moon and the rhymes πi love to watch it at the Twilight... My favorite is the new moon. Looks so mystical!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Raj! Yes, I find the moon mystical and magical, too. I love how it constantly changes throughout the month and how it can look so different as it moves around in the sky. A twilight moon is extra special, I find.
DeleteI seriously think you should publish your poetry Cat. The moon is beautiful and always lovely to watch. I often recall childhood years when we used to sleep on the roof under the stars and moon and imagine all kinds of fantastic stories. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the support and encouragement for my poetry, Vidya. So kind of you. What a magical memory of sleeping on the roof and looking up at the moon and stars while imagining stories.
DeleteLike a fox... I love that line! It's hide-n-seek with the clouds, I've wondered many a times how the moon has its own personality... unlike the Sun.
ReplyDeleteSo true that the moon has its own personality and is always changing.
DeleteI love moon watching too. There is something so haunting and pretty about it. Of course, I love the full moon especially the pale yellow one.
ReplyDeleteI love that pale yellow moon, too. I like the big huge orange moon that hovers near the horizon sometimes. It's always changing in size, shape and is often elusive which makes it that much more special when it shows up.
