Teaser Tuesday

"Do you want to talk about it?" I said, after a minute.
But she did not look from the television, and after a minute or two, I realized the conversation was over.

These two sentences are from "After You" by JoJo Moyes.

This is the sequel to the first book "Me Before You" since readers wanted to know what happened to the main character, Louisa.

I found I connected to the lovable Louisa in both books and and I am rooting for her to succeed. I am enjoying this book much more than the first one.

If you fancy joining in, here’s how…
  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two teaser sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!
  • Share the title and author so other TT participants can add the book to their TBR lists if they like your teasers!

  1. Ouch! That happens sometimes!
That's a perfect teaser, Cat as I am now wondering about their relationship.
JoJo Meyes books are on my TBR, have heard so much about her books.

    1. Thanks, Parul. I'm enjoying the second one much more as the first was sad. Saw the movie, too, and didn't like it all that much, except that the actress playing Louisa was great and fit the part so well.

  3. I am absolutely in love with the prequel to this book (currently re-reading it). I've read this one too and it was a bit of a let down. What did you think?

    1. Thanks for your comments, Tulika. I am enjoying this book more as I found the first one so sad and depressing. I prefer happy endings, I'll admit it. This one is exploring Louisa's character a lot and her growth after Will's death and her relationship with Lily. It's a bit draggy in spots but overall I'm enjoying it.

  4. I know the first one is heartbreaking... Which I had kinda stopped me from reading it. The second one looks promising. Loved this teaser :)
