J is for Jack and Jill

I didn’t want to go on that camping trip with Jack and Jill. You know the old saying of “Three’s a Crowd.” Jack had been my boyfriend before Jill came on the scene and snatched him away from me. I was devastated as I’d thought he loved me. He insisted that we all stay friends as much as I didn’t like the idea.

When he invited me on the camping trip, I initially refused but he was persistent. I hadn’t taken a vacation in a while and when he offered to pay for everything, I decided to go after all.

I’m a chef at a well known French restaurant and he needed someone to do the cooking while he and Jill were busy making out in their tent. Honestly! Did they think I couldn’t hear them? Disgusting!

I told them about a wonderful spring up on the mountain side with the best water for miles around. People came from all over to fill up their jugs with this magic elixir. Apparently the water had healing properties.

Jack and Jill took bottles and rushed up there right away. I asked them to get some for me to use in cooking the special dinner I had planned which made them even more enthused.

As I was starting the campfire to cook dinner, I heard screans above me and looked up to see Jack tumble off the cliffside, followed by Jill, their bodies hurtling to the rocks below.

Darn. I forgot to tell them to watch out for that loose precipace up there.
Oh well. More dinner for me. Bon appetit!
