Ode to Coffee

Oh, how I love my coffee, it’s such a treat
It makes me tingle from my head to my feet,
Flavoured coffee just makes my day
Hazelnut is a fave, what can I say?

Percolator, Keurig, French Press, or Drip?
Or how about a Starbucks trip?
Starbucks is my favourite spot
I like to go there quite a lot,

None of that Tim Horton’s Crap will do
I’m a Starbucks lover through and through,
A tall bold hazelnut will do the trick
I like to guzzle it down real quick,

The Baristas know me, it’s my favourite haunt
Before I even order, they know what I want,
I sit there and write my latest tale
Sipping my coffee and checking e-mail,

Won’t you join me at Starbucks for a cup or two?
I’ll be saving a table just for you!

  1. You are a woman after my own heart, Cat - I can't stomach Tim Hortons "coffee"! My husband just doesn't get why I prefer Starbucks - to each their own, I suppose!

    1. Too bad we weren't closer so we could meet at Starbucks for a cuppa and a visit, eh, Laurel? Some day!

  2. Many coffee lovers I know won't touch coffee brewed by a Keurig, but I love that machine. My husband drinks coffees called "Jet Fuel', "Double Black Diamond" and the like. I, on the other hand, drink brews he considers dishwater. With the Keurig, we both get what we want. Used to go to Starbucks but no more with my Keurig. You are so right, each to their own! Alana

    1. That's funny about your husband's jet fuel. I love my Keurig too but do find the little cups so expensive so only indulge occasionally. Coffee sure is a personal thing, isn't it?

    1. Good you like water as it's a healthier choice. I have to force myself to drink more water.

  7. I love the size of that cup. I can never understand espresso shots. I need a really big mug to do justice to my favourite brew. :)
I'm not really a Starbucks fan but my current addiction is the Nespresso machine.

  8. I've always wondered about the Nespresso and what that's all about. I saw they even had their own big fancy store. I agree. A big mug is best. None of that small espresso stuff.
