What I Love About Autumn
Leaves of
orange, yellow and red
Bright and vibrant
overhead,
Skies with
clouds that change so fast
I take lots
of photos to make them last,
Dogwalks in
the woods, no bugs, no heat
Only leaves
crunching beneath our feet,
Cats are
cuddly when the weather is cold
If you’re
chilly, grab a cat to hold,
Spooky
creatures on Halloween
Some of the
scariest you’ve ever seen!
There are many special things about fall
I could go
on, but for now that is all!
I am writing this "list" on the first day of the week
long Write Tribe Blogging Festival.

Ugh, Halloween! I have never understood this particular day! Your poem, on the other hand, is a lovely reminder of why I love Autumn. It seems to be my favourite season!
ReplyDeleteHow does Autumn compare in India, Shailaja? I'd be curious to know the differences.
DeleteInstead of snuggling with cats I snuggle with my dogs. I know exactly what you mean! I love fall! ♥
ReplyDeleteDogs are good to cuddle with, too. Well, not sure I'd put my Malamute on my lap but a small dog is good. Hehe!
DeleteBeautiful pics and lovely expressions ! loved reading !
ReplyDeleteThanks very much for visiting.
DeleteLovely post, Cathy, all about my favourite time of year!
ReplyDeleteMine, too. Laurel. Glad you liked it!
DeleteFall is beautiful. I always think it is the most picturesque of all seasons and your rhyme makes it even more so, Cat!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to know what fall is like in India. Thanks for the encouragement, Vidya. You know how I enjoy writing silly rhyme! It practically oozes out of me.
DeleteI miss experiencing Fall in the midwest US :( Love the fall colours!
ReplyDeleteI do like the four distinct seasons in Canada though winter is way too long. I wish fall lasted longer and winter was shorter.
DeleteI love the colours of Autumn though in India it's not that evident in every part of the country but the place I grew up thankfully was lucky to have the season
ReplyDeleteRandom Thoughts Naba - Where will they belong to?
Interesting to hear about the different regions of India in fall. Must be different from here.
DeleteLove that you combined a list with poetry and photos: cool idea Cathy! :) <3
ReplyDeleteI love autumn too cathy :) But as Shailaja said, I have never understood Halloween either! Wish I could see that once :)
