P is for Photograph

Pasted on smiles and stiff formal poses
Scarecrow hair and runny noses,
Knee high socks and sagging skirts
Baggy pants and wrinkly shirts,
A sunny beach or a snowy hill
Spring lilacs on the window sill,
A contented cat or a hyper dog
Fungii growing on a fallen log,
Sepia, colour, black and white
A magical display of contrast and light,
Photos are a good way to express my art
Freezing the moment that is close to my heart.

  2. Thanks, Talya. I think taking photos is so important from an artistic point of view and as an archivist, recording our lives for future generations. I love your photos, too!

  4. Love the quote - I like playing with Sepia colours too. Love your last line - I too think that Photography is not about capturing the perfect picture but a moment in time that you can remember forever. Loved your post.
