W is for Writer
We writers are strange, there’s no denying
We are wacky and weird without even trying,
We live in a world of our own creation
Dreaming up stories from our imagination,
We’re not in it for the money or for the fame
Though a little would be nice, just the same,
Writer’s block is a deadly curse
Writing crap is even worse,
Being a writer can be lonely and tough
We often feel we’re not good enough,
But when we write some shining prose
Our writing shimmers, sparkles and glows,
It’s what being a writer is all about
And helps sustain us through the drought.

We can all relate to this!
ReplyDeleteNice to be among writer friends who understand where I'm coming from.
DeleteWorking with groups helps so much...but at the end of the day each of us must find the inspiration within.
ReplyDeleteSo true, Corinne.
DeleteSpeak for yourself. I'm in it for the money and fame. ;)

We are a strange breed aren't we. And it is such a feeling of pride when we write something beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSometimes writing crap is therapeutic. Nice one.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Suzy. A good crap writing session does help sometimes.
DeleteWriting crap is bad, but at least it's a starting point :) You can't edit what's not on the page!
