L is for Lollygagging #AtoZChallenge

I belong to the Lollygaggers Club
A group of lazy souls,
We like to lie around a lot
No wonder our stomachs have rolls,

Do you want to join our group?
We have a list to subscribe,
We’d love to keep you in the loup
Come and join our tribe!

Each day we lollygag, on a beach or by a pool
We don’t bother swimming. Why do that? We’re just so frigging cool!
Lollygaggers never suffer anxiety, we rarely ever feel sorrow
Why worry about it and ruin our day? It’ll be there tomorrow,

We don’t do anything exciting
We don’t do much at all,
If this sounds at all inviting
Make sure to give us a call!

I am participating in the A to Z Challenge writing a blog post for every day in April, except Sundays. http://www.a-to-zchallenge.com/

  1. I've done my share of lollygagging (fun word!) but it does get boring, after awhile. ☺ Your poems always make me smile, Cathy. Have a great long weekend! I wish the A to Z would pause for the duration.

    1. I agree. Lollygagging is good for a while to recharge your battery but does tend to get rather dull after a while.

Happy Easter, Debbie! Enjoy the long weekend. Yes, the A to Z can be a challenge on holiday weekends. Do you have your posts done beforehand or are you having to do them daily like I am?

    2. I still have a few pre-written posts, but will run out by the end of next week. My problem is keeping up wtih comment responses and return visits. I get a lot of visitors (yeah; nice problem to have, BUT...) and am several letters behind with little hope of catching up. That bothers me, because I think it's important to respond to everyone who takes the time to comment on my posts.

    3. Yes, I know what you mean. I don't have a lot of visitors but it's still hard to keep track and reply and visit all their blogs. I understand completely.

    1. I've always thought it was a fun word and this nutty idea just came to me and turned into a crazy poem. Thanks, Shalini!

    1. Membership form? There is no membership form! That would involve work. Just bring your bathing suit and towel and come right over. Lollygaggers are waiting for you! Hehe!
