A is for Being Your Own Advocate

Stop focusing on what you think you’re lacking
Being negative is such a vice,
It’s time to send the Inner Critic packing
Your Inner Advocate has some advice,

Accept yourself, flaws and all
Take some time just for you,
Forgive yourself when you fall
Praise all the good things you do,

Respect yourself and treat yourself right
Eat well and be sure you move,
Make sure you get enough sleep at night,
That way you will find your groove,

You’re just great the way you are
Remember that when times are tough,
If you do, you’re bound to go far
You are definitely good enough!

This April I am participating in the A-Z Challenge

and the NaPoWroMo Challenge NaPoWriMo where I will write a post and a poem for each letter of the alphabet each day in April except for Sundays.

    1. Thanks, Shilpa. I have to tell myself this kind of thing daily or the Inner Critic gets the upper hand.
